London

On Friday, we arrived in London via the Eurostar train from Paris, which was a relatively easier process compared to our previous experience in 2010 with all the gypsies in the taxi drop area at the front of Garde Nord Paris. We exited at Saint Pancras station and just had to walk a few blocks to our hotel.

We then made our way to Feltnam by tube/train/walking, so Roy could visit Moss Motors Europe and look at seats for his MGB and buy parts that will fit into our luggage.  On our return journey it rained but all the parts made it back dry.

Today we visited the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels which were spectacular and had a wonderful time exploring all the towers.   We walked over the Tower Bridge to the Shard to view all of London whilst enjoying a glass of Moet and Chandon while taking in the breathtaking views.

We visited Ivan on Sunday and had a wonderful day with him chatting. We saw the new kitchen Ivan has done to the Barons Court home and visited the Westfield shopping center in XXXX to look at the extension that has been added sine we had last visited in 2010. Roy had a London hair cut while he was there.

We jumped on the Hop on Hop off bus and made our way the Westminster Abbey and joined the crowds lining up to go in, thankfully we arrive not long after it opened but it still took some time before we where able to enter. A every popular attraction. Once in the Abbey it was spectacular to behold, the architecture and workmanship was amazing and the building is much larger than you think.

After visiting the Abbey we grabbed some lunch and made our way over to Kensington Palace to view the Princess Dianne’s dress exhibition. The dresses and gowns where noteworthy, the intricate details, colours and fabric just amazing. While at the palace we also explored the Rooms that where created by the different monarchies since the house was purchased by King William III and Queen Mary
